
It’s the most exciting month of the year and time to celebrate all we do: School Library Month! We hope you will participate in our month-long celebration. We want to honor all that you are accomplishing with your students despite some very real challenges we face in our state.

Reasons to Love Libraries campaign! It’s not bragging; we want to celebrate you! Submit something you’re proud of in your school library, something fun you did with students, student achievements, your personal achievements, the sky is the limit! We will post submissions on SCASL social media accounts.

Stay informed about the status of banned books in South Carolina public schools (bookmark our updated website!). SCASL leadership sends updated emails after IMRC and full board of education meetings. Follow Freedom to Read SC, ProTruth, FABB, DAYLO, CAPE, Midlands APPLE, and more organizations on social media. Email state board of education IMRC members using SCASL talking points.
