Receipent of the 2025 Walker E. Solomon Group Award

On June 12, 2025, the South Carolina Education Association presented SCASL with the Walker E. Solomon Group Award "for its work in advocating for intellectual freedom, promoting social justice, and being champions for educators" as part of their annual Human and Civil Rights awards program. 

SCASL President Jamie Gregory, President-Elect Tenley Middleton, and Legislative Committee Chair Katherine Freligh were there to accept the award. We hope each and every one of our members takes pride in this recognition for the work we all do together as supporters of strong, equitable, and diverse school library programs in South Carolina.
