Outstanding School Library Program of the Year

This award is modeled off the AASL National School Library Program of the Year Award Application which provides guidance about exemplary programs.  Completing the SCASL award application will prepare applicants to submit their applications for further consideration at a higher level if desired.  Winners will receive a $2,000 grant for books and a $500 monetary award from a sponsor to purchase media center supplies and materials.

When is the application due? December 1, 2019.  Award winners will be honored at the SCASL annual conference in March.

Who is eligible? South Carolina school librarians who are current members of SCASL.

Where should I send it? Email your completed form and all related documents to [email protected] OR upload your completed form and all related documents to Google Drive and share it with [email protected] (Note: Please set the sharing rights for all documents to “Anyone with the link can view” so all judges can access.)

What should I include?  A  completed application form, two letters of recommendation (one must be from a building or district administrator), and stated attachments or included urls for designated sections.
