Want to grow your PLN and exchange ideas with other educators? Looking for a great way to share what you are doing in your library and connect with fellow educators including pre-service teachers, current classroom teachers, administrators and education professors? Join in #TeachSC South Carolina’s Teacher Twitter chat, hosted by Jed Dearybury (@mrdearybury1) and Palmetto State Teachers Association News (@PSTANews).
The inaugural #TeachSC chat was held on Tuesday November 21st and is scheduled for every Tuesday night from 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Several South Carolina librarians have joined in the chats including SCASL President Cathy Nelson (@cathyjo), Meg Campbell (@campbellmeg3), Patti Barker (@TeachrLibrarian) and Elizabeth Graham (@libscigal).
Each week’s chat has a theme and the host poses related questions throughout the chat to keep the conversation moving. Recent topics have been “Teacher Recruitment & Retention” and “Good Teaching Between Thanksgiving & Christmas”. Even if you can’t join in the chat “live”, you can add to the discussion anytime using the #TeachSC hashtag when you Tweet. Share your librarian life with other South Carolina educators - show how you #TeachSC!
