SCASL Administrator of the Year Award ApplicationThe Award for Administrator of the Year was first presented in 1979. SCASL annually honors a school administrator who has made a sustained, unique contribution toward furthering the role of the library media center. Building level principals, as well as state, county, or district superintendents are eligible for nomination. District administrators who are responsible for broad instructional leadership, such as assistant superintendents, directors of curriculum and instruction, and directors of education are also eligible. Membership in SCASL is not required for nomination. Purpose:To recognize an administrator on the school, district, or state level, whose vision and leadership has contributed substantially to the school library media program in one or a group of South Carolina schools. Criteria:The following information must be completed according to the directions provided below. Label all sections. Do not exceed space limitation indicated. Font size must be no less than 12. The committee cannot consider any applications submitted after the first Friday of December. The written application must be completed in Google Docs and shared with [email protected]. All applications will become the property of SCASL. Email, fax and hard copies will not be accepted. Applications will not be returned. The presentation of this award will be made at the SCASL annual conference. |
